Be a Leader – Entrepreneur – Change Maker
We live in a rapidly changing and diverse world. The University of Nebraska Cooperative Extension is leading the way to help Nebraskans meet the challenges of the 21st Century. We teach programs that help people find real-world solutions, adapt to new technologies, compete in a global marketplace, protect natural resources, secure a safe food supply and balance the responsibilities of work and family.
As a member of the University of Nebraska Cooperative Extension staff, you become a part of a statewide and nationwide network of Land Grant Universities that are committed to transforming research into educational programs. We focus on Food Production and Natural Resources, Building Strong Families, 4-H and Youth Development, Community and Residential Environment and Community and Leadership Development. We work and live in more than 80 communities across the state. Our campus headquarters is in Lincoln at the University of Nebraska Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
As an Extension professional you will be a:
- Leader who engages a wide range of individuals and facilitates a process on projects and programs.
- Strong Collaborator/Team Player who creates partnerships and contributes to teams in response to significant issues.
- Entrepreneurial who generates fees, and contracts to enhance programs
- Change Manager who is able to deal with changing environments and program needs.
