We Teach

The entire community is our classroom!  Extension engages local people in an environment where learning takes place and priority issues are addressed.  Our faculty and staff are skilled professionals that stay current in their academic field of specialization.  They provide relevant and research based educational programs.  In Extension you will work with other highly motivated individuals to:

  • Plan, teach and evaluate educational programs.
  • Teach in large groups, teach in-depth workshops and teach one-on-one.
  • Teach adults and youth.
  • Work with local citizens in defining issues to make educational programs fit community needs.
  • Bring community partners together to solve issues.
  • Enrich the learning experiences through experiential learning.
  • Help in the discovery of knowledge through research partnerships with Extension specialists.
Cooperative Extension is a premier provider of education that brings the research of the Land Grant University to practical use in the community.  We make a difference in the lives of individuals, the success of businesses, the profitability of agriculture and the future of communities.
